@Nard: That's almost as bad as a couple weeks ago, when I emailed a source for a story to tell her not to worry, I was a very good editor, and signed it "Johs."

You must have spell-checked the hell out of "amateur" before releasing it into that side note. I once sent someone a snarky e-mail about his poor grammar and called him a "genious" therein.

Hey, thanks, Josh for your note about Miss Betty, one of America's Sweethearts. Groomsmen, please note: her genrousity was legendary, beginning with the time in kindergarten when she took her $6 in quarters (a gift from relatives) to school after the holidays and handed them out to friends. The school principal called her mom because he didn't know what to do about it! And that was just the beginning of a lifelong practice. Everyone who knew her had similar stories to share at her service. Giving away her drink tokens to you guys was yet another example of her kind and generous nature. Raise a toast to Miss Betty, please.

Obviously, you and you're daD have a different relationship than me and mine do.

Mine would find it hilarious to tell me to poke it with a stick while reassuring me there were no stingy things in it, but he would only really do that if he could watch After 42 years, I've learned not to trust my parents.
