Putting the ‘science’ in ‘science fiction’
Sunday, 13 December 2009In this weekend’s edition of “Blogging the Hugos,” we look at the winner from 1959, A Case of Conscience, by James Blish. It’s got a lot of genuine science in it—but does the book need it? (Answer: Yes.)
Hey Josh,
Just letting you know I really like your series on the Hugos, it is so interesting to see the development of science fiction as a whole. Some of those older books are really tricky to find, and it’s nice to hear which ones are still worth reading.
Cheers
Kat
@Kat: Hey, Kat! I’m glad you’re liking the series — I feel like it’s still figuring out what it is right now, but I’m having a good time doing the reading. If you ever have any suggestions or thoughts, lemme know! And thanks so much!
