If you don’t get any “welcome to the neighborhood” plates of cookies or you notice children screaming and running away from you in the next few days, I’d recommend a new costume next year, perhaps the mime one?

@Both moms: Indeed, many of the children looked a bit unnerved by the scary, hairy-faced cow who demanded that they say “Trick-or-treat!” before he would relinquish their candy. My wife at one point referred to me as “dirty old man cow” in front of a couple of them. I am misunderstood.
